Situated on the outside of the restaurant is a lush plant wall with a stunning LED neon sign in the centre. They commissioned us to make this large waterproof sign to replicate their logo. Created in our white and warm white shades, the exterior signage is an attractive focal point.

The Golden Guinea
Looe, Cornwall
Located in the heart of the adorable old coastal town of Looe is The Golden Guinea. This traditional pub restaurant has been running for over 30 years and offers unique experiences for its guests. In 2020, they added a garden bar and commissioned us to create a bright green waterproof LED neon sign reading “GG Garden Bar” which they've installed on a faux plant background. It looks amazing and definitely catches the eye.
Our neon sign, positioned at the front of the venue, perfectly represents the warm and inviting atmosphere the inside of the restaurant has to offer.
Eating Inn Steakhouse
Blackpool, Lancashire
Originally built as a fisherman’s cottage over 200 years ago, the Eating Inn Steakhouse specialises in homemade meals using prime British beef.
We created three signs for this restaurant to give it that vibrant neon glow. Our waterproof Bar and Grill sign is located on the outside of the venue. A branded tagline and name sign, both in tropical and deep blue are styled amongst the venue's Western decor, adding to the aesthetic. The eye-catching blues of our signs look stunning against the plain black wall.
Bayou Bar Festival Food Trailer
Bayou Bar’s BBQ trailer serves up authentic Cajun street food at festivals and private events. No stranger to illuminated signage, Bayou Bar asked us to add even more neon glam in the form of an 11ft/3.4m long New Orleans Kitchen sign and directional signage to let customers know where to order and collect their food.

Can Custom Neon® signs be used outdoors?
Custom Neon makes indoor LED neon flex and outdoor acrylic neon signs for business, events, weddings, and residential use. While our indoor signs may be used outside for short periods during fair weather, they should never be exposed to rain, snow, water or any sort of liquid either inside or outdoors.
Our exterior product range, on the other hand, has been specifically developed for use outdoors and carries an IP67 waterproof rating. We offer a 24-month warranty for all of our outdoor neon signs. Please choose our exterior options if you are ordering a Custom Neon sign to install or use outside.
Please note that the dimmer/remote is not weatherproof and that none of our signs, wiring, or components should be submerged.
What is the difference between indoor and outdoor Custom Neon® signs?
While our indoor signs may be used outside for short periods during fair weather, they should never be exposed to rain, snow, water or any sort of liquid either inside or outside. Our exterior products, on the other hand, carry an IP67 waterproof rating and have been specifically designed to produce the same brilliant neon glow while providing a far greater level of protection against the elements.
An IP rating is a certification proving a product meets a certain standard of water and dust proofing/resistance. IP67 products are protected from contact with harmful dust and from immersion in water with a depth of up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for up to 30 mins. They are not for underwater use.
Please note that the dimmer/remote is not weatherproof and that none of our signs, wiring, or components should be submerged.
Are all Custom Neon® signs weather resistant?
Our exterior use products have been designed with the weather in mind and carry an IP67 waterproof rating. We provide a 24-month warranty for all of our outdoor acrylic neon signs.
Our standard interior signs can be used out of doors for a short period during fair weather. They are not made to withstand rain, snow, exposure to high heat or humidity or to contact with liquids of any sort.
Our 24-month warranty for our indoor product range is only valid for use indoors.
Glass Neon Tubing vs Acrylic Neon Lights - Which is Best for Outdoor Signs?
Vintage looking glass neon signs - the ones that use glass neon tubing - used to be the default for this type of outdoor lighted business sign. Thanks to modern acrylic neon sign developments, our neon-look light signs are more energy-efficient and available at a lower price point than traditional glass neon signs.
They also weigh less and are easier to mount or install. Depending on the size of the sign you order, our outdoor lighted business signs can even be portable, making them ideal for weddings, parties, festivals, market stalls, tradeshows, and outdoor corporate events.
