What we made for Tennis Australia and the Australian Open:

Tennis Australia commissioned Custom Neon to make twenty-two LED neon signs for the 2022 Australian Open, a 13-day international tennis tournament held annually in Melbourne, Australia. Our custom-made neon signs lined the buggy route that led players to the entrance of Rod Laver Arena. Let's take a look at what brightened up the walls.

Custom Neon transformed three tennis balls into bright yellow neon art, which were artfully displayed on a plain white wall giving the impression of movement. We also created an illuminated art piece of the Melbourne city skyline, which looked stunning against the deep navy-blue painted wall in front of the players' stretch lounge. Another sign that celebrates this bustling city is a simple sign that reads 'Melbourne' in our ice blue shade and a custom font.

A steaming white coffee mug sits alongside an ice-blue word sign, spelling out 'Coffee, never miss a shot' while an LED neon tree and sun look playful next to an ice-blue 'Serve up summer' quote sign.

Finally, we created a set of trophies lit up bright white to remind the players why they're here! Some of these signs were also displayed at the 2023 Australian Open tournament, along with newly commissioned LED neon Indigenous art.
